BEGO SEMADOS ® S IMPLANTS ARE NOW SC AND SCX IMPLANTS.
The BEGO Semados SC/SCX implant is a self-tapping, cylindri- cal implant made of pure titanium (grade 4). In contrast to the SCX implant, the SC implant has a machined neck region of 0.5 mm.
With an adequate bone level, it is recommended to use implants with a diameter ≥ Ø 4.5 and for a low bone level a diameter ≤ 4.1 is recommended depending on the prosthetic concept. The reduced-diameter SC/SCX implant with a diameter of Ø 3.25 may only be used to restore narrow anterior gaps associated with the loss of teeth 12, 22, 33, 32, 31, 41, 42 and 43! Implant prosthetic concepts that exert a high mechanical force on the implants and the components (single crowns, double crowns, telescopic crowns, extension bars, etc.) should be implemented with large-diameter implants (> 4.0). For bar restorations, it is recommended to use a diameter ≥ 4.1 for the terminal implants.
